Beyond a certain volume, what worked with ten people slows down at fifty: tools, decisions, rules, dependencies.

The evidence
In Switzerland, SME use of AI rose from 22% to 34% between 2024 and 2025, yet only 34% have rules on the data entered into these tools (23% among those with under 10 employees). The 2026 SME barometer stands at −7.3, its lowest since 2021. Growth is happening in a strained environment, with practices still largely unframed.

Outsourcing and operational resilience frameworks.
Health & Life Sciences
Patient data, traceability.

Illustrative scenario
A €25M publisher whose clients are energy companies receives a demand for security measures ahead of renewal. The exposure map separates genuinely applicable obligations from general concerns, and sequences the work over twelve months.
What a generalist AI tool will not do for you
Decide what stays centralised, negotiate with a major account on what you can actually guarantee, convince your teams to apply a rule.
Self-assessment
Five questions to locate your capacity to grow.
Do everyday decisions still mostly go through the leader?
Do you have a written rule on data entered into AI tools?
Has a major client asked for guarantees you struggle to document?
Can your core system absorb twice the volume without redesign?
Does your executive committee include the functions needed for your target size?
