Industry & Manufacturing
Keeping things dry where humidity always wins
The need
Tropical dry-food storage unit with active dehumidification
In tropical climates, between 28 and 38 °C ambient and high humidity, dry goods degrade fast: clumping, mold, pests and loss of value. Conventional cooling addresses temperature, not humidity, and no dedicated, affordable appliance exists for these markets.

Project scope
A dedicated dry-food storage unit combining targeted 16 to 22 °C cooling and active dehumidification to keep humidity below 45 %. Two formats are under study: a compact ~60 L countertop version, and a ~300 L built-in version in glazed stainless steel.
- Target cooling from 16 to 22 °C in 28 to 38 °C ambient
- Active dehumidification, humidity held below 45 %
- Two formats: compact ~60 L countertop, ~300 L glazed stainless built-in
- MVP prototype underway (wine cooler base, Peltier module, humidity sensor)
- Glass door on the premium version
- B2B distribution first, then regional marketplaces
Target audience
Households and businesses in tropical zones, authorized distributors, hotels & restaurants (Caribbean, francophone West Africa, Southeast Asia)
Sectors where it transposes
Controlled storage in hostile climates transposes to any context where ambient humidity degrades stored goods, from tropical professional kitchens to exposed food supply chains.
